Moving my broadband connection to a new computer

I'm waiting for my new computer to be built and once it is I want to move my broadband onto my new machine.

I've never done this before so I would be grateful of any advice.

I assume I need to install my netgear software but do I need to install any software from my ISP Freeserve?

If you already have an ADSL router setup and configured then you should just need to plug in the new computer using the network port and all will be well.
