I am rebuilding one of these laptops (think they are rebadged Mitac?) for a friend of my Father-In-Law who managed to fall foul of the pop-up bandits in a BIG way!

I've used the recovery disk and rebuilt XP fine and it has created a directory called OEM which contains the drivers. My question is, how do I install the drivers. Does not seem to be an auto-install and refreshing the hardware list in System does not help.

Failing that does anybody know the actaal spec of this system so I can sort from there? My technical skills are probably 7 (scale of 1 - 10)

Many thanks!

Nice man on tech support helped me out....

Appears that the XP recovery CD does not actually contain the drivers. There shoukd be a sperate CD for them!

If this has been lost/misplaced/eaten by the dog go to http://www.mitac-europe.com/home/service/ where they can be downloaded

Have a nice day y'all!
