I have been supplied with a new laptop for work that is loaded with Vista, and my home pc uses XP. My current modem is a BT Voyager 105, and no drivers for Vista have been released for it.

Firstly can I buy a modem/router which will work with both operating systems? I suspect I need one that is only XP compatible as the laptop already has a wireless card installed.

Secondly, all suggestions gratefully received.

Most wireless routers will work with both xp and vista the only thing you will need is a wireless card or dongle for you current computer.

that would be how i would do it as routers are fairly cheap these days and are not to hard to setup with a broadband connection

Sorry to say but seeing you got supplied the router by BT, you are limited to using that router. That is the same problem I have with my SKY router.. I can't use my own one because it doesn't have all the settings in there so I can't link up to the SKY servers. It is a pain but I live.. :)

You shouldn't have any problems trying to connect to the router? Do you get any error messages when you try to connect up to the router?
