After you install or reinstall your Windows operating system the computer is running on very basic drivers. In order to restore normal performance and functionality you will need to install all of the manufacturer supplied drivers. Often this will have been greatly simplified and it is simply a matter of popping the CD in the drive and clicking a couple of large buttons.
Sometimes this is not possible, for a number of reasons, and the following is a guide to help you through the process of a manual installation.
Locate and insert the motherboard (or mainboard) drivers CD. This is usually labelled as Winfast or Foxconn on Novatech computers. Close any autorun windows that may appear.
Next right-click your mouse on the 'My Computer' icon and select manage:

This will load up the 'Computer Management'. You will then need to locate 'Device Manager ' from the list on the left hand panel. This will load a list of your computers hardware components. If you need to load drivers for any device you will find that it is marked with a yellow :!: or :?:

Right-click on the first device in the list and select 'Update Driver'

This will load the 'Hardware Update Wizard'

Leave the option that is already selected 'Install the software automatically (Recommended)' and the computer should automatically search the CD for the best match. If you get a list list of compatible drivers then, again, leave as the already selected option. Repeat this for any device that is marked.
If you are having problems with any device installing then there is a good chance that the device is not on the motherboard. Any peripherals or add in components will require that drivers are loaded in the same way but from the manufacturer supplied installation CD.
