Hi, I live in Colorado United States so obviously im not a customer but i was hoping you could help me.. Im stuck really bad. I have posted on many forums and no one seems to want to or know how to help so i came here cause i heard good things. I have a Asus SLI-Deluxe Gaming Moboand a 4000+ amd single chip, 2 gig ram, 480 watt psu and 80 gig sata and 60 gig ide, sli 7600 gs's.... ok now getting that out of the way of the specs i has the same setup almost with a 3500+ amd single and the same psu and no problem starting up with a MSI k8n n4 sli edition x2... ok if you still follow me, what im trying to get at is that i start my computer and it shows the green light on the mobo on and makes like a click noise really fast and then doesnt power on whatsoever but the mobo light stays on.... now every thing i plus in starts up except the proccessor and the rest of the computer... headsets and such lightup and what not... but the pcu doest start? If anyone has suggestongs that would help so great....

btw im having issues with another comp same specs that i just built asus board but agp... wont start and does the same thing...

This may sound silly
have you got the cpu fan header in??

oh yeah
have you tried contacting asus about this problem
normally the manufacturer has more information than resellers :D

have you bent any of the pins on the cpu
checked that the heat sink is in properly

ok i checked both the cpu and the header they are both in correctly... I did however bend a pin earlier on my cpu but i slowly moved it back into place and it wasnt even that far out of place... Also it has happend before on a p4 2.02 cpu i had and still worked after rebending it back...? But i checked the asus site and they seem to show about the computer posting or not... i tried that and it still wont work... im stumped lol thanks

This sounds very much like a power supply problem. Do you have another that you can try? If the fans and drives spinning up check that you have the 4 pin AUX connector present on the PSU and plugged in.

If you have a 24 pin ATX PSU try removing the 4 pin connector as IU have seen this causing boot issues.
