I bought a MATRIX PRO AMD643200 250GB 512MB from Novatech in April.
It's been rebooting randomly ever since. I did install extra ram giving me 2gb memory and also a terratec soundcard & module. I removed everything and it's still rebooting. Help

did you ground yourself before you did anything inside the system

have you tried the original configuration??
have you tried the other components in another pc to see if they work??

Have you tried formatting the system and installing a fresh copy of Windows OS on there?

I had a problem like this on my other system, after checking each bit of hardware in other systems, it turned out to be something silly, such as a virus ! (Which norton didnt pick up)

Try formatting the system and see if that cures the problem.

I suppose it could be that. Worth a try

It only happens when I'm running anything taxing like a game. or music editing.

Perhaps its a heat problem which is causing the restart.

Do you have any case fans in your system?
Does it have good air flow?

sounds like a heat problem to me. try running the system with the side of the case off and have a small desk fan blowing into the case if you have one.

if this fixes the problem stick the side back on and start checking the cpu and case temps.

The side's been off for the last 4 days, and it's done it as soon as I've powered up, and started listening to music or playing games, so surely, it wouldn't overheat that quickly ? The PSU was replaced this afternoon, so that rules that out.
