Hi, a year ago I bought an Isys Max Pro (the current equivalent on sale right now, would be the Isys Elite Pro, I think) and I want to upgrade my 2gb of RAM to 4gb.

According to my CPU-Z diagnostic, my motherboard will support two more sticks of RAM, I just need to know which RAM I should buy, so there won't be any problems with existing ram.

I believe it's this ram that I would need, because it's also 400Mhz.

Any help would really be appreciated.

You have 800mhz RAM. CPUZ reads it as 400 as DDR 2 send data twice per cycle which makes it 800mhz. The big giveaway is the PC-6400.

I see, so rather, this is the ram that I should buy, because it's the same PC2-6400, 800mhz?

That will do you fine rupee, but sometimes you can come across problems running different makes of ram,so it might be better to buy the geil 2x2 gb kit and leave your old ram out

That was another concern I had, to be honest.
Is there a way I can identify what make of ram I have, so I can go buy it? (The system being pre-built, so I don't know)

Although at this point it does look like I'll just be buying that 2x2gb, and giving the old RAM to someone who could use it.

You could always remove a stick to see if there is any manufactures name on there,or even speak to novatech and see if u can buy another 2 sticks the same as you have now, always worth a phone call

I just checked, all I saw was this nondescript "AE" on it.
Doesn't look like it says the manufacturer on the RAM itself, I'll just have to contact Novatech and ask.

Thanks for the help. :)

most probably is generic ram, replace with either corsair or black dragon geil ;) if your wanting to make the move up from 2GB of ram. personally 2GB is all what you need and there is no need to upgrade in my honest opinion, Check your usuage on loads before you make such things as buy new ram this may also void the warrenty so please ring up or double check with one of the novatech Staff
