Received X2 4400 at the weekend and the packaging had been opened and I think it has the wrong cooler in the box .I have fitted 3 other X2 4400 CPU's and they all had a heatpipe cooler in the box but this one had a standard Ali heatsink. Have AMD started putting lesser coolers in there retail packaging ??????. It seems unlikly and the CPU has very slight marks as if its been fitted before. My customer is waiting for his PC and I'm not keen to even fit this CPU and cooler . Dan from your CS e mailed to say "The heatsink's supplied with AMD retail CPU's are just standard heatsinks" I know I have had heatpipe coolers with all other 4400 chips.

Need some advice as how to continue from here

Thanks in advance Richard

Yep took it back it was replaced with a sealed one which does have a heatpipe cooler. Helpful customer services as well.
