Right guys, im wanting yo try overclocking now that i have my pc setup.

can you give advie on how i should go about doing this?

my pc is:

Intel Quad Core Q6600 95Watt G0 Stepping (This is the one that Overclocks) 4 x 2.40Ghz 8Mb Cache 1066 FSB Quad Core Processor
Arctic cooler 7 pro
black dragon 2 x2gb 1066mhz ram
Hiper 880W HPU-4M880-PE 85% Efficiency, w/8P PCI-E, UK + EU
HIS ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI PCI-Express - Retail
Samsung Lightscribe S223Q - 22x DVD+/-/RW - 8x Dual Layer - SATA - With Nero - Black - Retail
Sound Blaster Audigy SE/7.1 surround sound with EAX support , PCI sound card

Need to find your way around your bios, need to find the fsb settings which will be set to 1066, need to switch the AI to manual to allow you to do your own settings, Asce will be better at this as he knows his way round your bios as he has the same mobo. Also need to find the memory ratio and cpu vcore voltage settings. That should enough to get you started. When you have found all that come to back us :wink:

For a straight off the start point, adjust the FSB to 333, which will get you 3.0ghz without any fuss.
