Hi, ive been searching through numerous forums in order to find someone who has had the same problem as I am having but to no avail.

The problem i have is when i am on the internet a message bubble comes up with "a jack has been unplugged", followed by my audio program popping up and indicating which socket the jack has been removed from.

Once this has happened, my wireless connection is lost, and it isnt until I scramble round the back of my PC to unplug and then replug my speakers in, that my wireless network connection is found.

Unfortunately i havent actually done anything physical to make this happen, i.e knocked the PC, and it is getting very annoying, especially when it disconnects in the middle of important work.

If anyone could help then it would be greatly appreciated, thanks

My specs:-

Motherboard - 945P7AA FOXCONN
Network adapter - US robotics 802.11g wireless turbo adapter
Processor - Pentium 4 3.2 GHz
RAM - 768mb

This could be an issue with the Jack Auto Sensing and your Speakers. Most Audio manufacturers are putting in programs to auto sense what you have plugged in to the jack sockets on your PC.

As with any piece of software sometimes it has bugs in it and sometimes it could be your hardware and the fact that the software is not sensing it properly.

There are two things you could try here.
In the Realtek Control Panel ( SoundMan ) you should be able to disable the Auto Sense option which will stop the jacks from auto detecting what has been connected and go by what is configured manually for each socket. See if problem still occurs

The other option would be to try an updated Driver and software for the sound.

You may also want to make sure you have the latest driver for your wireless card in case it is conflicting in someway with other hardware.
