Unable to Activate Speakers with VISTA

With a new Eecuter Pro computer, with VISTA loaded at source and Skype downloaded, I cannot obtain sound from the speakers.I have plugged speakers into the"Lime" coloured contact point. Speakers are switched on with volume adjusted . Skype instrument is a BINATONE. Please help!

Okay, open up Start Menu > Right-Click My Computer > Select Manage > then go to Device Manager > then expand Sound, video and game controllers.

Also would you be able to tell us what motherboard you have???
because theres 3 different motherboards that Novatech Sell with 750i Chipset. either
MSI P7N
MSI P7N Platinum
Asus P5N-D
