Hi ,

Late last year (25/10/07) I bought a barebones bundle from Novatech
Order No : 4073626

Spec
BB-D921G BAREBONES DUAL CORE 925 1GB

The motherboard is
Foxconn 946GZ7MA-1.1-8KRS2H

I recently bought some High Density Samsung 2x2gb DDR2 PC 5300 667Mhz memory for it but the board will not recognize ( ie. PC is not booting - no beeps either)

Can you tell me if the board is meant to recognize high density ram?

Apparently the motherboards must be compatible with (256 x 4 bit) frequency bit which has nothing to do with the clock speed to work with this type of DDRs.

Also, what ram should I buy for it. I would like 4GB of memory.

High Density RAM is often problematic. You are much better off with regular branded RAM made from X8 chips.

I'd exchange for this 2X 2GB Corsair Value Select DDR2-667 with your motherboard:

A bios update and a faster, lower power consumption CPU like this E2220 would appeal to me too:
