I have a Novatech 19in LCD Monitor, that i use to play Pro Evolution Soccer 5 on, i use the 1280x1024 resolution on the monitor and in the game settings, this runs perfectly, but when i try and plug it into my Atec 32" LCD TV, i have lines running on the screen, i've tried using 800x600, but that didn't seem to help. I'd be very grateful of some help? Would using the DVI input be better than the RGB one?
Many thanks.

Does the leasd running to the atec pass alongside, within 4" (100mm) or any power cables?
Flickering lines is text book example of crosstalk, or rather, magnetic fields messing with your signal. Especially if your changes resolutions doesn't help.
Might wanna try re-routing your cables, also, just how far away is the 32" from your pc. Signal loss combined with interference will lead to lines or ghosting, just like with a tv aerial.

It runs about 1m and nowhere near any cables, what should i set the resolution to? should the tv and the game both be the same? which one needs to be higher?

Ok, that rules out signal loss and cross talk, so next to try would be the refresh rate for the 32"screen.
Hedging mybets here as I've never really bother with routing pc output to a large screen.
DVI should give a better image, but at this time, I can't say if it will clear the lines.
By all means if you have the equipment to try it without added expense, then do so, theres nothing to lose by not trying it.
