Hi I have a Novatech Performer Pro PC. Intel Pentium 4 3.2, 120gb Drive (not SATA). Plus 1Gb Ram -400MHz, 184Pin, DDR Ram, 3.200.
MBoard is a Foxconn 661FXME.
Graphics Card is: Asus (ATi) 9200SE, 128Ram, Bus Clock 200 MGhertz, Bios Award/Phoenix 6.00PG. OS is XP Pro SP2 Build 2600
I want to install the New Vista Beta2, into a VMWare Workstation 5.5.
Problem is MS says the new Areo interface needs Pixel Shader2.
Question is what new AGP Grapics Card Upgrade would cover this issue and work with my current MotherBoard?
Any advise would be appreciated.
But I would also like to buy something that will last a couple of years at least - so not too worried about the cost.
Kind regards, algypalgy.

nvidia or ATI
mid range or high end card
any price range??
the best AGP ATI card novatech has-512mb 1600
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... ?SAP-X16P5 (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?SAP-X16P5)
the best nvidia AGP card novatech has-7800gs (7900gt core)
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... ?GWD-78GSS (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?GWD-78GSS)
or go for the AGP version of the 7800 (7800gt core)
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... 78gsxt&P=1 (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?xfx-78gsxt&P=1)
and these cards will last a couple of years!!
but if you want something to just get you through this beat until direct X 10 cards come out then, a nvidia 6600 or an ATI X800/X850 would do fine, or the ATI X1600 256mb
it is all about what company you prefer really

Ahh but footballers don't go round pulling people's arms out of their sockets when you annoy them, fliying kicks perhaps, but arms from sockets....................

hehe no need to be sorry algy, we just had a bit of a laugh, from something small.
Like a rediculously loud **** that makes you grin like a crazy man, its just one of those things.
Hope you pick a card that will suit your needs.
