can some one please tell what "intervideo instant on" actually does an how to use it or what software needs to be installed to use it.

i am also having problems with the led status light for the wireless network card (it doesn't ever light up even when connected to a network and transfering data). can anyone help with this? i think it may be a loose wire or connector, but as it is still under warrenty at the moment i am slightly reluctant to take it apart to find out! however i don't know if there are any known issues with this so i am asking.

help much appreciated!

The Wireless LED is physically soldered to the Mainboard.
If it is not working and you wish for it to be repaired under warranty your unit would need to be returned to us for inspection and repair.
Please contact our technical support team on 0870 112 0612 and they can arrange that for you.

As for Intervideo Instant On. It is like a media center type of software. It is designed to boot from a seperate partition on your HDD so that you can just do simple things like listen to music, watch a DVD, browse pictures without actually booting a full OS like XP.
Although the unit is capable of supporting Intervideo Instant On, we do not provide it as an option and as such can provide no support for it.

From a personal note - IMHO, its more trouble than its worth. But thats my own personal opinion.
