I am about to order a NOVATECH GEFORCE 256AGP GRAPHICS CARD and i have seen it has a connection for a TV Areial.

I have a areial which i use with one of my TV's upstairs (where i dont have a TV output port on my wall) Could i use it with the card? What channels can i get?

Thanks,

Chewie

Um, can you be more specific on the card so we know a lil more about it.

As for aerial input. on a VGA card? well, you'll need 3rd party software in order to use it as a tv tuner, which in any case, you'd be better off with a DVB tuner card.

Are you sure it wasn't a TiVo or ViVO capable card, which will allow you to undertake recordings of a signal froma s-video or composite connection?

I cannot see where it says this supports a TV Aerial Connection.

This card supports VGA out, DVI out and TV out.

It is not a TV tuner card and does not support the connection of an Aerial for the purpose of viewing TV.

It will support TV out to allow connection from pc to a TV.

I always thought TV Out meant that you plug the aerial into it and u load up the tv program and u can watch tv, thats what happened on my old pc.

Having an ariel socket is essentially 'TV-in' though its never called that.

TV-out, as tax stated, will output the sugnal in a form a TV can recognise, and allow you to plug it in directly without a convertor box.
