If you have installed a new CD or DVD drive in your PC and its not detected here is a few things to check.
Make sure the jumper on the drive is set to the correct position.
Make sure the drive is enabled in the BIOS.
Make sure you have connected the IDE lead and power lead.
If you have a spare IDE lead try this to make sure its not a faulty lead that is causing the problems.
