Hi, just a quick question here..
When typing in a foreign language to use special vowel characters i go to symbols and insert the character every time.
Is there a quicker way of doing this with a keyboard shortcut? Or do i have to always insert symbol for the characters?

There are no specific shortcuts for special characters. The easiest thing to do is to go to Symbols and jot down the character codes for each special character you are likely to need. Print this out on a strip of paper and stick on the side of your monitor. When typing, refer to this and once you've typed the code in, hit ALT-X to convert to the character.
Bit long winded but quicker than choosing from the symbols box!

Press "Alt Gr" when pressing the letter, it's what I do.
