Hello,
I bought an ISIS pc about a year ago and would like to add hard drives to it to test other operating systems.

It has:
2 bays for hard drives - 2 used
3 bays for dvd's - 1 used
2 bays for floppies - 0 used
Foxconn N15235 motherboard

It has its original sata hard drive and I added another sata hard drive.
There appears to be 4 sata input slots on the motherboard, 2 taken by the hard drives.
1 ide slot on the motherboard and an ide ribbon with 2 connectors 1 into the dvdrw

There is a single power lead to the dvdrw
There is a power lead to the two sata hard drives
There is a spare 'ide' type power lead with 2 connectors

So I think I can summarise availability as:
2 sata inputs on the motherboard ( no leads )
2 ide type power slots on the lead
1 ide connector on the dvdrw lead
I also have 2 ide/pata hard drives not being used at the moment

So what are my options?

It would be nice to use the 2 pata hard drives if I could but can you use pata and sata on the same motherboard?
If so, how would I connect them as there is only sata slots available?
Presumably I could put the two hard drives in the floppy bays ( they look similar )?

Cheers,
David.

Well u can fit 2 more sata connections to your motherboard, could go down the ide route if you has too, but if u wanted more sata connections then http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... ?NOV-SATAR (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?NOV-SATAR) that could come in handy ;)
