Through Design of most notebooks the numberpad, which is normally on the right hand side of a standard keyboard, is incorporated into the keyboard. The reason which is most likely causing this problem is that the num lock is enabled.
You have todisable this, if the numlock is written in blue you are required to press the 'Function key' (Fn key) whilst pressing the numlock key.
