I bought (from Komplett -**** their stupid asses-) 1400 pounds worth of equipment to make up a cad machine and server, using KMV switches and 2 massive crt monitors (21 inch samsungs) oh and 2 200 Gb samsung drives.

I paid 144 pounds for 2-3 day delivery and only ordered things in stock.

idiots held up delivery for 4 weeks coz the system case and 2 sata cables were not in stock!!!!

And despite more than 900 200Gb drives in stock, they sent me 2 with the same part number, but made in different places, and packaged differently!!! (Guess they never heard of RAIDS) I also got an abit board, Pentium processor and 2 Gb corsair DDR2 ram.

After 5 weeks i finally get it delivered and put together.
The machine is VERY unstable.....

so its off to novatech, where i would have gone, but they didnt have the monitors....

Turns out that corsair DDR2 667 1Gb modules are not compatible with either the abit IL8 board, or the ASUS M2N32-SLI deluxe I bought to replace what i thought was a duff ABIT board.. (actually, i didnt buy the deluxe, it was just too much hassel to get a refund when i discovered the "accidental" mistake made by the salesman, who i told i did not want wifi, but paid for it anyway)

I had to buy a whole new system, bit by bit to find this out, and it wasnt until i had tried some slower ram that i finally tracked the problem down.

The ASUS manual dosnt mention it, nor does the ASUS website.

Have your tried updated BIOS for your mainboard. I know there were quite a few issues with ram support and AM2 CPU. This is down to the fact that RAM controller is in CPU and not Mainboard Chipset and i know they needed to sort out all the little niggly bits that go with any new product design. I know certainly from my testing of the early Sample AM2 products that there were serious issues with RAM support but a lot of those have cleared up now but i know a few are still lingering here and there.

New tech is never stable, its still having bugs ironed out - but yes - update BIOS - might help.

and you are looking on the wrong website, had you gone to the corsair website, you would of found a page which lists all modules that are compatible with that board:
