The parents of a six-year-old boy in the US have been charged with neglect after the boy drove their car for 10km in an attempt to get to school on time.

I don't see the problem, lots of 6 year olds drive around near me, they are just in the bodies of 18 year olds :(

I do really think something is very wrong there unless there is something not being said..?

What can you do if you kid just decides to do it ? how do you read the mind of your kid to the point of knowing that he may or may not potentially decide at anytime to swipe your keys and take your precious motor for a spin ?

Ok Unlikely here in the UK more likely than not the car is a manual where in the US automatics are more common place so thus easier.

haha, on assumes you're referring to the saxo generation.

Also it might just be me but I had no idea how to drive a car when I was 6

hey, nowt wrong with matrox cards! I still have one of those in my computer at work!! hmmm, actually it may be a G200 or G400 thinking about it, really not sure... I did love the (slow) parhelia too, could of been so good... but <something> was holding it back.
