I have just upgraded my PC from Windows 2000 to XP. The graphics card was fine on 2000, but now playing games (Warcraft 3 splash screen, Guild Wars) the colours are off in places, the interleaving looks wrong, and it flickers.
I have tried using the latest drivers and DirectX 9c, the version of the drivers & driectx (9) on the graphics card install CD, and random other versions of the drivers from the nVidia site, but the problem remains. Any ideas about what to try next?

have you checked the settings on which you are playing on

I have run Windows update, but this did not help. I looked at the temperature in the nVidia manager, and it was in the green - around 70 I think.
I played around with the settings a bit, but I don't know what I'm looking for really - are there any good guides etc that can give me a bit more basic info on what I'm looking for?

is it alright with everything else,
but only goes glitchy during WOW?

It seems to be glitchy with everything 3d. I am using the nvidia desktop 3d settings with preview - it looks fine initially, then after a few seconds the backdrop starts flashing a red overlay.
I have noticed a couple more things now I am in front of the PC - when I turn it on, I get a message saying 'SLI multi-GPU rendering has been changed to independent mode because one of your SLI cards has been removed". I only have the one card, and always have only had the one. Also, occasionally when starting up GW, the splash screen image looks fine but the PC crashes.
I have reformatted my hard drives & reinstalled XP again, and it is still the same. Only other thing I can think of is to try reseating the card, although I haven't moved the card or anything since the upgrade, and it was working fine before.
The temperature is coming out at 67 degrees, which is well within the green area

take the card out, and place it back in carefully.
Go into the bios and set all to defaults

Well, after a bit of fiddling over the weekend, the machine freezes while trying to install Windows. So I think the problem may be a bit deeper than the graphics card now....
Oh well
