Would be grateful for some advice from any Q321 owners or Novatech on setting up the connections to a Sky+ Box and DVD player. Both of these were using Scart connections on my old set, but obviously conectivity has moved on since I bought that.

What is the best way to connect the Sky+ box and the DVD player to the TV to get the best Picture/Audio quality possible. The DVD player is about 5 years old and am thinking about a replacement.

Looking at the manual it would appear that Composite cables are best, but I don't have any of these. Is the quality greatly enhanced using these over the scarts I am currently using.

Like I say any advice greatly appreciated.

For your sky box i would think you can only use Scart connection to carry RGB signal. What connections does your box have.

As for DVD if your drive supports it you can use component connections ( Not composite that is something different and worse) these would provide decent picture for DVD and also support the use of progressive scan if your DVD player supports that.

Thanks for the info Coops.

Sky box has :
Optical Audio Output
S-Video
Scart
RS-232
Audio Out Left/Right

Component was of course what I mean't but when you don't really know what your talking about its easy to make the mistake. :D

I'm thinking of a new DVD what do I need connection wise with it to get the best out of the Q321.

Would the Samsung DVI & HDMI fit the bill. (Novatech order SAM-DVD-HD)

Cheers again

Obviously if you buy HD DVD player then yes HDMI /DVI/VGA will provide best video followed by component connection.

If you look at Page 21 of the hyundai manual they show best to worse connection starting from left to right.

I would connect your sky box using Scart which is how i have my NTL digi box connected to my Q321. I have DVD player via component cables.
