Below is a few things to check if you are not getting any sound through your monitor speakers.

1, Does sound work through another set of speakers or headphones? If you get no sound at all please see the below link for a few things to try.

2, Make sure the volume is turned up on the monitor and within windows. The volume control on most monitors is accessible through the on screen display menu. Windows volume can be checked by clicking the speaker in the task bar next to the time or through control panel.

3, Have you connected the monitor audio cable to your sound card? If you have only connected the monitor through the VGA cable you will not get any sound. Most monitors come with a 3.5mm - 3.5mm audio cable, this muse be connected to the back of the monitor and to the speaker port on the sound card.

4, Do you have another PC you can try the monitor on just to make sure its not a problem with the PC?

If none of the above helps unfortunately it looks like the problem could be a faulty monitor and it will need replacing. If the monitor is under 28 days old please contact Novatech tech support on 0870 112 0612, if the monitor is over 28 days there is a good chance it has an onsite warranty. More information on monitor warranties can be found by clicking the below link.
