ATEC 37inch and SKY HD

Can anybody provide details of the current position regarding reported incompatibilities between these two?

For some unknown reason the post that this was pointing to was removed. I have checked with colleagues here and no one knows who deleted the post or why it was deleted.

The post was keeping customers updated regarding the problems with sky hd and the atec tv's.

The problems is down to sky and not atec. Rather than using a standard hd mode like 720p or 1080i sky decided to use 576p. This cause a compatability problem with these tv's and many other hdtv's on the market.

Amkatron Atec's warranty company now have a fix for the problem, it involves updating the firmware. To fix the problem Amkatron will collect the TV, update the firmware and deliver it back to you. The turn around including delivery and collection is 3 - 5 working days.

Amkatron's number is 01740 645566, there call centre is open Mon-Fri 9-5. Please have serial number, make, model and date of purchase to hand when you call or they will not be able to process your request.
