Samsung Spinnpoint F1 500gb problem

I have a problem with my hdd. I just made up a vista update, restart my pc and i couldnt boot it again. So i decide to install it again. I formatmy c drive, install it and when it was on finishing installation step, its turn off. I cant even install vista or xp. What i can do to solve it?

Hmm, one of the problems i was lead to beleive, was that you could reinstall XP from a vista system.

Did you try reformatiing with the XP disk?

If that failed, only thing i can think of right now would be to put in a second disk, try and boot, install an os to that, then try and reformat the drive from within a windows environment, or at least check if it shows up as a viable drive when connected.

I was trying to remove everything on it using testdrive utility. But still i cant install Vista.
