Have a Notebook NNB-215 Model No:8599 (Matrix ?)

It will now only operate from mains AC Adaptor.
However the on-screen Power Meter indicates 100% battery power
remaining !

I have removed and reseated the battery pack but
to no avail. The unit is about 18 months old so would have assumed
the battery to last beyond this.

Is there any way I can check that a replacement battery is the
answer and that there's not a hardware fault with the notebook ?

What replacement battery (product code) should I order for this model
assuming that is the problem ?

Anybody else had similar problem ?

i have exactly the same problem.
Previously I have been able to remove the power for short periods and run on the battery for short periods: this can be built up. But now the laptop shuts down as soon as AC power is removed.

I'm having a similar sort of problem, only difference is that my laptop will work on the battery, but for a very short time - 20mins, since this got a brand new battery and it now lasts for 1hour without the WiFi on and 45mins with it on. Am going to update the bios and hope that helps. Think it might be something to do with the charging circuit in your case noahbaerman, this may have been caused by continually charging the battery while working on the laptop on AC.

Batteries are consumable product and do not last forever. As time goes on the battery will start to wear and lose its ability to hold charge.

I cannot say for sure what is wrong with your unit. It would need someone to look at and test if its a battery problem or a charging problem. However it is more likely the battery than the unit.

As for the battery, we do stock them, the code is MIT-BAT859
