Hi,

Perhaps along the same lines as a similar thread here...

Recently, my laptop (purchased 2005, still under 2 year care plan) has started rebooting spontaneously. It can do this when in Windows, or even when booting up. When it happens, it just starts from the BIOS as if just switched on.

Things which can help trigger it: Having laptop on my lap (obscuring vents more?), moving the laptop and so on.

If I have the laptop pretty still, such as on a table, it is generally pretty fine.

Any suggestions?

In other news, Novatech guys, will you send me replacement screws for the bottom of the laptop? I notice that several are now missing, and I've never opened the thing...

I _think_ it is a Novatech Maverick, or one of the same line. I'll have to check my receipt.

theres a little trapdoor underneath most laptops where the memory goes in, try taking this off and making sure the memory is seated in nice and tight.

had the same problem with my desktop pc a couple of years ago, which turned out to be a faulty memory module. Check that the memory is inserted fully.
