Hi,

I am looking for a PC that can run vista for years to come.I have seen three machines but i dont know can they run vista! These are the machines:

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... BB-CD285BB (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?BB-CD285BB) (i will get a 256 graphics card and 1gb of memory)
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/pcrange.html?ISY (the isys 524 with a 256 graphics card and 1gb of memory)
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/nbrange.html?REV (the revo 4000 with 1gb of memory)

I will buy those extras if the systems can run vista and the areo expirence.

Thanks,

I've tried running Vista Beta 2 with a Gb of RAM and it works OK but Vista is real quick to use up 800-900MB of memory. I can 2GB's becoming the standard prettyquickly after Vista's release as 1GB doesn't looks like it's gonna be enough. Basically it's like running XP with 512Mb. It works but a Gb makes everything that bit quicker once you get a few apps up.
Mind you it's still in beta so RAM usage might improve once the debugging codes removed and the drivers are updated.
I've got a feeling you'll still be wanting 2GB to run it properly though

I can confirm the above, anything under 1gb don't even bother as it would be as slow as a tortoise full of rigor mortis.

I have a Vista PC next to me here with a gig and its -ok- but really does want more.

games or movies, would require more than 1GB, maybe just 1.5GB, but 2GB would make it smoother
