Has anyone tried these in SLI configuration? If so, how would you rate the results? Trying to decide whether to splash out on another one.

Cheers

you probably wont get alot of a gain from 2 of these cards, it all depends on what the rest of your system is

AMD 3800 Dual Core AM2
Asus M2N32SLI Deluxe
2GB OCZ PC2-5400 Gold RAM
WD Caviar 250GB 16MB cache SATA2 HDD.

Reckon the Graphics card is the weak link, but don't really want to go less than 512MB on the card, planning on playing with Vista a lot in the near future.

Cheers

have you overclocked the cpu at all, if you do then with 2 graphics cards it will be in almost perfect balance

Haven't yet, its on the cards though. What sort of figure do you think I should be aiming to clock to?

most can get to 2.5ghz easy
and that is a nice stable overclock, and wont get it too hot
have you got an aftermarket cooler??might be something you want to invest in (especially in these hot weathers)

and 2.5ghz will bring it into line with the more expensive X2 4800

Just using the AMD Fan that came with the CPU at the moment. Can you recommend a good CPU cooler for socket AM2?

Cheers for your advice btw! :)

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... ZAL-9500AM (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?ZAL-9500AM)

looks good, and should be able to dissipate alot of heat due to its high profile and large fan
