Hiya, i'm trying to connect a keyboard to my laptop as laptop board is rather fiddly to use, the laptop is a novatech intel M 2.0GHz. The keyboard i am trying to connect is is a PS2 microsoft internet keyboard, my laptop does not have a PS2 port so i bought a PS2-USB converter. However when i plug my keyboard in i get an error about the device not being recognised, and windows not knowing what has been plugged in. I tried downloading a microsoft driver, which did not work. I also tried with a logitech keyboard, also PS2 but i got the same error, as well as when i tried to install the drivers for it i got an error saying they could not be installed on my system. Any ideas?

Thanks :)

Can you provide details on the PS2 convertor that you have?

It's just a simple belkin PS/2 to USB adapter, i have been told that the problem may be something to do with not being able to convert the PS/2 protocol to USB, i'll try a USB keyboard.
