Just wanted to know what Virgin Mobile are like for call service and also customer service (if there are problems). I understand they piggyback the Vodafone network?

I've had good service from both Orange (in the past) and T-mobile who I am currently with. I also have a 2nd mobile with three and have to say they have been absolutely terrible, although the last problem they seemed to have improved slightly on dealing with it.

Thanks

I was with Virgin mobile for a few years & never had any probs at all, only reason I changed to vodafone was that when I´m on me hols, wifey makes 4 calls every night to kids & her sister.

With vodafone passport I can still use my free minutes & all they charge is a connection fee per call (75p).

Hope this helps.

To the best of my knowledge they use T-Mobiles network so if you know anyone local to you using T-mobile you could ask them what there reception is like to get an idea of coverage. As for prices, all mobile phone firms overcharge! However phone wise, they offer the best subisised phones for PAYG IMHO

I was thinking of switching to Virgin mobile but have been put off by the poor service for their standard phone line and can't be bothered with the hassle of having a mobile with them too

yeah virgin use tmobile they dont own their own network.

yip orange is poo, i seen a post on another forum that saying that orange recently made changes to its call charges this opened up a loophole that allowed 1000's of customers to get out of the contract with them.

myself i am with 02 for mobile, for £20 i get 600 mins calls 1200 text and unlimited internet use on a one month contract and i have never had a problem with the service at all. (this is sim only i would sooner buy my own phones)

I'd either get a sim only deal or the Nokia 5800 cause they've got some good deals with that phone or did have anyway.

Wait for crimbo though tbh

I have recently switched to virgin mobil a couple of weeks ago after doing a bit of homework thay had some bad reviews out there but i still went ahead as i got a deal that wasnt the cheapest but suited me i got the nokia 5800 wxpress music phone that comes with 8gb memory card and head set with intergrated controll so the phone basiccaly doubles up as an 8gb ipod.I also get 250 any network anytime mins and 3000 text a month all for £18 and sofar i have had no signal issues and would reccomend them.as for customer servis this is virgin whst do you recon.

Ps stay away from 3 mobil thay are the worst servis provider on the planet.

Thats a cracking deal right there. I wish I had held off now, I got a SE C510 and 700texts/mins for £15pm on 3. Seems to be going ok for me so far, however, I'm only 4-5months into my contract...

My friend recently switched to Virgin a few months back, he seems to be having no issues and decent 3G speeds.

With O2 myself who always seem to be pretty sound. Had bad experiences in the past with Vodaphone / and 3
