Not sure if anyone else has one of these but I just had to swap out the Motherboard (replaced with another Socket 478 ASRock board), a new PSU, new Celeron CPU and new memory.

Now if I try to boot up the PC it checks eveything and seems fine then says:

"MAster Boot error" follwoed by reboot and select proper boot device"

I have tried using the restore cds supplied with this pc but with no joy.

Where do I go from here???

sounds like your HD could be dead - try setting HD to none, rebooting, setting HD to auto detect, reboot. Also BIOS update your machine - its unlikely these days, but HD may not be compatible.

Would it be a big surprise if MB, PSU, CPU, Memory and HDD went Kaputt together?

Also despite replacing the motherboard with similar is not the same so XP would kick up a stink anyway wouldn't it.

yeah, usually, but if the chipset is the same you can normally get away with it bar a few extra drivers to install. Its not getting as far as windows though :(
