I have a problem after istalling software. The system fails too boot. Enter BIOS and find that the start_up routine has changed ie. after installing software for I-Pod Bott showed 1. Floppy 2. I-POD harddrive ? Solved by changing boot order to hard drive only. But this is not acceptable. So does anyone out there have any ideas, how to overcome this problem. Thanks Have carried out a restore from recovery disc this was a failure it went to G: drive I booted PC and I then found C: with all original set_up. This a funny old game.

Hi,

I see you have the same PC and wondered if you sorted out the problem you where having restore from recovery disc. I have tried to restore and get the message that Windows can't find any hard drives to install to. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

With reference to the problem of restore. It appears the problem lies in the BIOS. I have to change the boot sequence after installing some software. As for full restore I have not bothered again. I cleared the G: drive set system back to the original C: drive and have carried on. I must admit that this is not a satisfactory solution, but it worked. I am not that impressed with this setup and would not recommend anyone else buying this, unless they are capable in the computer line. I was very disappointed with the help from Novatech as their only solution was to clear the whole system and start again. The is the total unprofessional way to do things. Problems should be looked at and solved. I dread to think what would happen to a complete novice in this situation and or how much time and money they would spend trying too correct it.

I am sorry but i am not sure i understand the issue.

Are you saying that with your IPOD connected to the system that it fails to boot unless you changed the boot sequence so that the HDD booted before your IPOD?
