hi im in a bit of a pickle. i was looking at buying the x50 but while looking around the net i have stumbled on a Sony Vaio CS11Z/R for around the same price. just wanted some peoples thoughs on which is the better laptop for my needs,


im usaly travling about localy
i do like my games such as (WoW, space siege,half life/Gmod, Saints Row2 and EVE)i do have xbox for high rate games.



i do like watching dvds on computer ( never seen what blue ray is like)

at the moment i dont have a pc sold it in bits to help raise the money for a laptop. so using my asus eee. ( new it would come in handy at some point :lol:)
but if anyone can give me some advise would be great.

the x50mv will be better for gaming as the vaio youve linked to only has a basic graphics card
depends how much gameing you will do on it

is battery life importent or will a plug aways be near by ?

9600mgt blows that 9300m GS away.

Id go with the x50

Agreed,

9600M GT is so much better on all fronts.
I'd always get a GFX card that exceeds what I need because you never know what you'd run into later on :P

can a 9300M actually play games?! (well the modern ones)

looking on your list - EVE, halflife... you want as good a gfx card as you can get...

9300M has a lower benchmark than my current Geforce 7700 of 2+ year old.

Buying a Sony has its advantages, other than it being a nice looking piece of eye candy, it does come with a price tag.

Personally I'd never pay 900 pounds for something with a graphics card with just about as much support for rendering as an oversized bra.

But...like I said, its a sony! yummmm~
