Sound stopped working.

Updated my drivers a few days ago for the onboard realtek sound chip for my MSI motherboard. Running XP Pro SP3 but no sound now today, speakers are ok as I have tested on another sound source. Only thing I updated today was Yahoo messenger, any ideas?

System restore back a couple of days, if the sound works then good chance the YM update has corrupted summit.

The board's experience is... if the Realtek drivers go belly-up, it's time for a complete re-install. A quick search will reveal the horror that is this software :(

Re-installing the drivers fixed it no idea what broke it in the first place.
