View Full Version : How do I install the NOV-MP3M1G driver?
Hello
Please can someone tell me how to install the driver disc for the Base MP3 Player? I use Windows XP and I cannot get the disc to install on my pc. I can't wait to use my MP3 player and I'm stuck at the first hurdle.
Thanks

install the mp3 to the cable then to the pc.
insert the cd with the drivers on
a window will come up and asks to search for software, click yes.
keep clicking yes until the windows stop.
and it will be fully installed
Maybe I didn't explain properly. When I put the disc into the drive, the install option does not automatically open on my pc and when I select run and type in the correct setup instruction, that does not work either, my operating system does not recognise the files on the driver disc. Any solutions for me?
Thanks

do you have another drive that you can use the disc on??
Are other discs not recognised or just this one
I don't have another drive on this pc, but I have tried the disc on my laptop and it will not install on that either. I can read what is on the disc, on both my pc and laptop, because I can see the files that are on the disc. I just can't find a way to install the software.
Thanks

when you open the files, look for a file called "setup" or "auto run", and double click, and see if that works

Taxation, I think I know where Non is coming from.
I have a NOV-MP3M2G and have a similair problem.
Plugging the Mp4 player in allows windows XP to recognise it as a "Removable Data Storage Device" but thats about it.
The CD that comes with the NOV-MP3M2G has lots of .cfg files on it, but no "setup" or "install" .exe files anywhere.
Perhaps there is no software? after all, you can use the SYNC function in Windows Media Player to transfer mp3s.... but if that is the case, doesnt that make the driver cd a little pointless?
So far, I have found no way of getting my PC to recognise my mp3/mp4 player as anything more than a glorified flash drive.
