Welcome to Scotty2690 (straight in at 12!), Digital_Mojo, C1R2 and KyleG to the team.

The Team have been flying this week, and are now at 2,197 within the project, a massive climb of 1,076 places. Daily updates are averaging out at around 39,000 points which is really keeping us motoring. Great work folks!

Threats: With the figures we're pushing out at the moment, we're not under threat from anyone :rocker:

I'm aiming for top 1000 for the team, and top 10,000 for myself. I might slow down a bit then, cos I think that's when the leccy bill is due through and the wifey :furious:

Well it was a nice thought any way, we'll just have to shout louder & get more team members. :)

I'm just aiming to get upwards of the 15/16 slot at the moment, I'm thinking of putting the 9500gt in the other pc & getting a 9800gtx in this one (should help a bit).

As for the leccy, thats why I've still got prepay meters, I know it costs a bit more but at least I know where I am. I hate bills coming in when I don't know how much it's going to be. :sad:

im doing gpu folding atm its done 4200/10000, my gcard hit 92c lol, so i had to bang fan speed on full xD

My 9500gt averages around 68c when folding & thats without a fan.

Ordered a 9800gtx for collection tomorrow, that should get me points up a bit hopefully.

Yea, not that big a gamer so I did'nt want to get anything too expensive (besides wifey will probably have a fit anyway when the credit card bill comes in but what the heck). :D

They're both running the gpu client but, the 9800gtx+ seems to be flying. :)

The 9600gso fold really well for a cheap upgrade for folding, and we have passed the 1 million mark everyone excellent work.:hail::thumbs:

Yep, I bought a 9800gtx+ whilst they were on offer just to get my points up :oops: and dropped my 4870 into the spare machine.

I'm now looking at how I can scrape together enough money to get a 295 :lol: so that I can get the same points but without the machine being on 24x7

I have stopped one of my VMs to try and keep temps under 70'

That seems to have worked, but the other VMs have picked up the pace to match, so I'm still getting (roughly) the same points :)

I'm just surprised that none of the other i7 folders are making big inroads to the team. I'm sure there was at least one other i7 bod, with SLI'd graphics who should have been absolutely flying even compared to me

I can't believe that I'm the only one now, nor that a lowly 9800 would be able to rack up so many points when others have much better cards (260's/280s etc)

Its got to be down to the i7 processing power coupled with the gpu client really giving you the edge and your knowledge of how this all works has put you a cut above us for sure, even after sharing it lol we still cant keep up. The i7 obviously rocks at folding buddy.

And ive got 14 days of no2 left if ray keeps it up at the current rate :(

Lol, i tried running the cpu version of the app and by the time it gets 15/1500 my gtx 260 has got to 8000/15000. Im just going to uninstall the cpu one so i can still do virus scans etc on my pc.

The smp client would be better suited to your setup, and the cpu clients may be smaller but they are still worth points and dont hurt your cpu even when virus scanning. Try the smp client ;)

On the table, I mis-configred my first GPU client, so it returned one unit before I realised :(

Gonna get my son's machine folding under that name for the meantime, keep it ticking over, though it won't be 24x7
