I just bought a laptop with integrated wifi. I already have a small network of 2 computers using Ethernet cables.
Well I found this http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... g3b%20&P=1 (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?lin-wag3b%20&P=1) and I was wondering if it can do the following.

Is it able to connect to the ethernet cable aswell as the wireless?
Does it have any ethernet cables included with the products?
Can that router run on its own without having a computer supplying it with power? Meaning that it is always running even though that all the pc is running?
Also does it connects to the internet or do i need to provide it with internet?

Also as i have 2 pc running on only one ethernet cable between them do i need to buy another ethernet cable to connect each pc to the router and would it still connect to my wireless laptop?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any reply

Thanks

If its anything like my netgear (or old Linksys for that matter) :

Yes - I (well and my wife) run about 7 machines, one of which is a wireless laptop.

My netgear did, my linksys didn't - cheap enough to buy either way.

They come with an external power adapter

erm, you just type your isp details into a webpage on the modem usually.

do you have a cross over cable or do you go via a hub? if you go via a hub, you are fine, if not - you need two regular cables. and yes, you can connect wireless and wired machines at the same time.

It means it will have 4 ethernet ports (rj45 style connectors)

Each one is usually for a computer.
