Hi there
Well its obvious HDTach and HDTune have bugs within them when it comes to testing SSD performance and ATTO seems to be the preferred benchmark.
Here are my results from 4x Samsung 32GB SLC Drives:-
Windows 7 with no tweaks

Windows 7 with tweaks

I also benched on Vista and it was a tad slower even with tweaks, so Windows 7 seems to definetely do a better job. :)

are RAMdisks allowed??
excellent results. i won't bother with mine because i haven't got any RAID to compete, and the Raptor is showing its age, even looses to my WD Black 1TB
If his system boots off it then yes  else I say no no no no no
no point posting mine its seriously messed up at the mo, I keep putting off the re-install its about a year over due lol
that said.... the odd atto results could be due to lack of space to write the files hmmmm....
think I'll do a bit of tinkering....
indeed drive was full lol so deleted all those benchmarks that have been recently installed and things seem happy-ish again :) but still a bit wonky on the results.

Here's mine.
I'm running 2 x Samsung 64gb MLC drives (the ones available at Novatech) on Windows Vista x64 in RAID 0 on the Intel ICH10R controller.
I've applied all the Vista tweaks suggested by Tony at the OCZ forums, and so far I've no complaints :)

Oh come on, your kidding me! Another 200 pounds to upgrade my Raid setup now to SSD! grrr benchmarks!
Same as PMM (2 x WD Raptors Raid 0 ADFD).

What strip size are you using PMM? My benchmark is a little strange compared to yours :???:
EDIT: Just enabled advanced performance in device manager which has made a more consistant result...
But still, it's not the kind of result I would like to see :(

seems like Raptors are worse at large files but good at small files. therefore the best combo is to have Raptor(s) for log/temp and SSD for Windows/Program files?
I do have have it optimised for boot drive performance by way of a 30gb partition as the c: drive

Well with more and more SSD's appearing on the forum now, I thought I better drag this up from the dead with a benchmark from my new build, on Win 7 RC :)

Yes, just after I bought mine :wall: lol.
Go buy them people! An SSD is, IMHO, the most cost-effective upgrade for your system - the improvements are instantly perceivable!

HI there
I do agree on that for sure, an SSD especially a quick one like the Crucial make such a noticable change to how you use your system everyday.

the next drive i get for my rig will be a sammy f3.. they seem to be pretty awesome. im likely to get a couple, one for my main rig and one for my mini workstation im working on. any thoughts on how the F3's work in raid? i'll post results when i get them but not sure if im raiding them yet.. depends on the £s though im looking at the cruical SSD's for my next rig which i'll start in about 10 months.. any idea of what prices they'll be going at then or if there's any new SSD's at good prices? :P also do you have any idea of the release prices and benching performances of the amd orochi core? or am i asking a little too much xD lol
Man, i almost bought a M225, but opted for WC'ing.
