OcUK seem to be cheaper now? They have it in stock too. Novatech page says "No due date on this product at Portsmouth " or any store when I try to buy. I want some of the is memory (2 Packs) to collect - preferably Portsmouth. The Competitor has it in but I can't be bothered to drive so far up North. Pretty confused TBH ! :(

I don't think he's saying he has stock just that he can get them for those who would like them. You might want to wait and see what the new memory kit he mentions.

Ah, so this is merely a dirty tricks campaign to get one over on a competitor? Pathetic to be honest. I was recommended Novatech by a friend in London. I usually shop at Scan (But they only stock Corsair RAM) and since Novatech have showed there childish true colours here, I'll probably continue to do so.

As a customer, if I see something on a website I expect to be able to buy it....especially when so much noise has been made about it. I don't expect to waste hours of my Sunday morning sifting through cryptic BS concocted to annoy a competitor. I came here in good faith on the strength of an advertised bargain and found nothing but childishness and lies. Absolutely pathetic TBH. Congratulations...you've just lost my business.:mad:

Nova did this for some GTX260 cards, when I checked there was only 20 or so (few hours old thread) and was going down quickly.

Alot of other retailers you don't learn about good deals until a few days later in emails or if you're lucky you read about it in another forum.

You can buy it now, and the stock will be purchased from OCZ on your behalf. It has never been said the items are in stock, in fact the first post clearly says that "we can get these as well if customers would like to purchase them from us". As its quite a specialist item, its fully understandable Novatech do not hold stock. What is not understandable is your over reaction to this post. Perhaps Gibbo and the Novatech team should never have offered to get them in on demand? Well i think this situation suits some people. Obviously if you want it in a hurry, go with a competitor who has it 'in stock' . Don't sit on this forum abusing the people who try hard to cater to everyone's need. There is no need for that at all. I can understand you may be in a hurry for the item, thats nobody's fault, dont take it out on Novatech.

According to that, this has nothing to do with overheads and stock figures. Apparently its purely been done to make a competitor looks stupid. A move that has clearly backfired for the following 3 reasons:

1 - They have stock
2 - They are cheaper
3 - They have my order for 2 sets which will be with me on Tuesday.

Please please please try not to make personal insults its just not needed folks, these here forums are populated by many differing people of all age groups and differing social background try and treat people with the same respect that you want people treating you with.

What one person interprets can differ to other peoples interpretations there is no need to make mountains out of mole hills...even I can get the wrong of the stick sometimes if I am not fully charged with caffeine ;)

As for the deal in question indeed its an ordered on request Novatech can source them and supply them, I would guess that people may have inquired about getting them enough to warrant the ordered on demand.

As for OcUk they pretty much monitor Novatech esp the Deals threads so they where possible attempt one upmanship on selected similar products but I rather spend my money at Novatech with full knowledge that they have a great after sales service and they will honestly go out there way for the customer.

I would contact Gibbo before going to OcUK though ;) you never know he might still be able to beat them on price if that is the memory kit you have your heart set on.

Juddman is correct - the point of the post was to let you everyone that uses this and any other forum that the deal is not limited to one reseller - we try and deal with fact and not fiction. We do not try to mislead customers or trick them into purchases.

At the same time it is a very good product so why wouldnt we offer it to our customers but as Gibbo said we have some cracking RAM deals in the pipe line so don't jump the gun.

You can "Buy it Now" - we often "pre-sell" products so if you want to order it then you can.

Pretty much what KP said!

The other company was claiming they had a complete exclusive on this product and even saying you wont find this product anywhere else in the UK.

An exclusive is where only one etailor has access to a product and nobody else can have, so when a company such as OcUK blatantly lies saying you can only get such a product from them, now that is very mis-leading.

You should also be thankful for competition, since we added this product to our listing OcUK lowered their pricing making the end result better for the consumer due to competition.

Fact is OcUK, Novatech, Scan, Ebuyer and any other etailor can go buy this product, its not just available to OcUK, plain and simple.

At least this time ocuk lowered the price unlike when they had the 3850x2's and they just dissappeared :s
