i am building a new system up and bought a bundle containing the above motherboard. i installed all the components and tried to switch it on but nothing happened. so i took everything out and tried again. still nothing. i tried a different psu still nothing. with both psu's there were 2 small leds that lit up next to my ethernet connection so i assume there is power in the system. i also tried moving the power button cable around all the connectors in case this was the problem. still no joy. any one suggest anymore ideas for me to try? i am starting to think there might be a fault on the motherboard? PLEASE HELP ME! lol

cheers

please make sure you have connected your power button to the correct set of pins on the front panel header. Randomly connecting to certain pins can cause damage to the mainboard as some of those pin headers carry power and connecting up circuits that should not be connected could result in damage to the mainboard.

Have you connected both the CPU power cable (4pin) and the mainboard 20pin Cable.

Have you used the correct amount of standoffs under the motherboard to mount the board in the case. Make sure there are not any standoff's where there should'nt be one as this could short the back of the mainboard

You probably wired them up wrong without noticing and it was causing a short to the case.

Be extra careful and double check when you wire up the pins on the motherboard.
