dont u mean 7900 GTX or u mean speficially the XFX version ?
Which version in that case coz XFX has like 4 versions of the 7900GTX ?
I would go for a X1950XTX :)
In fact im waiting but i cant decide either to go for a X1900XT now or wait 3 more weeks ish for the new shiny X1950XTX
Well least ill be the 1st in line to get a X1950XTX from Novatech ;)
Have a look at Tomshardware and Anandtech for quick benchmarks that they have done on the new X1950 ;)

the 1950 is better, it is almost as good as a 7950gx2
and seeing that the gx2 is 2 cores and the 1950 is only 1 core,i would get the 1950,if i had a crossfire board that is

Or you could save your money and get a new ATi/AMD DX10 card that is coming out either later this year or early next year! it'll run the games out now near perfect, if not perfect, and it'll run newer games like crysis very good aswell. This is what im doing at the moment. Building my PC bit by bit and leaving graphics till last. Im gonna get the new R600 DX10 card when it comes out so i'll be well chuffed :D

doing it bit by bit isnt a very good way to go in my opinion, cos when one thing is bought, something else that is better comes out.
i would save up and do it all at once.
my next upgrade will prob be when AMD bring out their 4X4 boards
