What on EARTH is this???

Hi all,

For the past few weeks now when I turn on the PC and reach the Desktop sometimes this box will appear and say I AM SERVICE!! - to me it doesn't look like a legit program!

I've done spyware + Adware + Virus Scans but hasn't found anything. In the box there's buttons you can press, if I press them some random numbers appear and it crashes and a windows box will appear saying "aaCenter.exe has stopped working"

What do you lot think it is?

msconfig and disable it..thats all or get hold of hijackthis and stop it from starting up.

Try scanning with Malwarebytes as well.

It's not malware apparently, just a peculiar part of Taiwanese Asus ACPI driver. Meant to go online for assistance.

HijackThis is probably the best way to kill aaCenter.exe. Also:

Download the latest ACPI driver from ASUS or simply reinstall your existing ACPI driver. Not sure why, but the problem goes away.
Or:

go to>
C:\program files\ASUS\AASP\1.00.32 and rename all ".exe" in ".***"
the program doesn't work and if you need it some day it's still there.
I dsabled it 2 weeks ago and everything is OK
