Saw this last weekend for first time, loved it but I wailed like a puff when his dog died :(

I saw that film such a long time ago, I can barely remember it... I thought it worked well as your standard zombie horror, but the plot was a little thin. One bit I never understood was where the dummy was on the bridge. He (Will Smith) goes psycho towards it and gets ambushed in the most implausible way. Can someone enlighten me on that bit.

Did he not just go out in the dark `cos he was wracked with pain after losing the dog looking for revenge? I`ll watch out for it next viewing ;)

The ending sucked , why didnt he go with the others - maybe he loved his dog that much he wanted to be with him in heaven

Saw this ages ago, HATED IT! and thats shocking cos I normally like will smith films, hated the ending, rubbish... won't say what is was, cos i ruined that for Kp in the office a while ago..... how was i meant to know he hadn't seen it yet! :eek:

Great film, not sure if i prefered this or the film it was based on (Omega Man).

Mind, I did comment to the Trouble after it finished that I was waiting, during the whole film, for Smithy to turn into a super hero ... figured he got mutated somehow. Turns out I thought I was watching Hancock :D :D

Well, he goes boom, or he doesn't.

The alternate ending, will makes contact with the pack leader (in the lab, from behind the glass), he gets the girl, and they leave them in peace. Will and co all make it to the sanctuary.

The end.

The film was so different compared to the original book by Richard Matheson. Then I suppose most Will Smith films are like that. I Robot, now that was a great film! but had virtually nothing to do with the book by Asimov.

Film could have been done alot better ending was poor, even hancock started well but finished badly.

I watched the video for Miami a while back and was shocked to see that Eva Mendes is in it, way before she was famous for movies, she's the chick in the car that goes "welcome to Miami" and then they did movie together years later!! :smilie:

The whole time I was watching I am Legend, I was thinking why isn't Will Smith making a point of telling us the zombies clearly still have emotional reactions...? Like when he steals the woman zombie and the man zombie comes out in the sun to get her, to me that looked like he was doing it for her but Will Smith did a recording right after saying "they are becoming more stupid and the male zombie came out in the sun to get food (being him)", was I the only one that thought the zombie was after him cus he had his "girlfriend"?! :confused:

Didn't think much of the film myself. Some bits were kinda funny, like the mannequin bits. But I just found it a bit dull tbh. Not one of Smiths better films. Anyone seen Seven Pounds? Found it kinda predictable, but thought it was a brilliant film none the less.
