Most of the laptops we have that have a built in wireless card have a switch to enable and disable the wireless connection.

The main reason the laptops have these switches is to save power when you are not using your wireless connection.

Some laptops have a switch on the front, others have them on the top above the keyboard. Some of the first laptops we sold with wireless cards did not have a switch but wireless could be enabled and disabled by pressing the Function or FN key and F1.

If the switch is in the on position and you are still having problems with the wireless card the first thing to try would be to install or reinstall the drivers for the wireless card.

Does the enable/disable switch apply to the Titan series? I cannot get the built-in wireless to work with my existing wireless network, but cannot see any switch. The handbook barely mentions the wireless facility.

Any help greatly appreciated. Product code is NNB-395P, serial number 7086089-011.

The titan does have a switch to enable and disable wireless. The switch is located to the right hand side of the power button. Here is the clever bit, the switch also enables and disables Bluetooth.

If you press the switch once it will enable Bluetooth and the LED will go BLUE.
Press it again and it will enable wireless and disable Bluetooth, the LED should go GREEN.
Press it a third time it will enable Bluetooth and wireless and the LED will go a BLUE/GREEN colour.
If you press it a fourth time it will disable both and the LED will go OFF.
