Hi,
I got my new Orion laptop yesterday, started installing programs and went on the internet after a few connection problems due to Norton Internet security. While I was transferring files from my old laptop with a USB flashdrive, I accidentally turned of the 54g wireless connection and can't get it back now  .I looked in a few places but I don't know enough about wireless and I really don't want to make it any worse.

Anybody any ideas? Would there be something to help me on the Cd's which came with the laptop?

Thank you in advance

Angie

if there isnt a physical switch on the unit,

the chances are its FN and one of the F -keys. Check the blue or green symbols on the keys, one probably depicts wireless

Hi asteroid,

Thanks for your reply. I know it is not a physical switch.I don't think it is one of the blue marked keys either.
What happened was is this: I wanted to take the flash memory stick out and to do that you are supposed to click on the little icon(bottom left hand side)to safely remove the hardware and it said it was still busy, but it wasn't (the little light on the stick wasn't alight), so I tried again and another screen came up, offering me 3 options to click and I was sure I picked the correct one, but that turned off the internet and now I can't enable it again, there is no option anywhere to do that.
I think I'll be the first caller at Novatech on Tuesday morning :)

There is a switch on the front of the laptop on the left hand side it's very easy to miss. However it sounds like you have disable the wireless connection, go to network connections and you probably find the wireless connection there but will say disable, right click and then choose enable, this should restart your wireless.
