I have a novatech razor laptop about 18 months old now and i want to connect it to my 37" tv i can get it all together and it works but the problem is all the typing is very badly blured. i only have the standared s-vedieo connection any idea how to un blur the writing?

S-Video resolution is very low (720x480 (NTSC) or 720x576 (PAL)) so there isn't any way to improve the blurriness other than run at a higher resolution... which will require using a different connection such as VGA or HDMI.

Using either of those connections means you will output at resolutions the same (or very similar) to what runs on your laptops screen.

Ah bum, was thinking of doing this myself.

Is it possible to output from a laptop to a SCART connection?

It probably is... but SCART's resolution is even worse than S-VIDEO. The only way to get readable text will be via VGA, DVI or HDMI output
