hi all
well talk about being pissed off is an understatement
ive just bought a amd dual core 4400+ cpu and a asrock dualsata2 mobo hooked everything up and put my geforce 6600gt agp into the agp slot no signal at all to my moniter it stayed on a orange light so i put my radeon 9800se into the slot guess what it powers on so now im thinking my geforce 6600gt is dead so i go into my dads room and put the 6600gt gfx card into his pc guess what it powers up.
so now this means ive bought 3 motherboards in the last 4 months 1 being this new asrock dualsata2 board the other being a p4vm800 motherboard and i bought another 1 from novatech that i cant remember the name of
why in the **** wont this geforce 6600gt work with these newer motherboards i cant understand this at all it works in my dads very old motherboard and it works in my old p4pe motherboard but not none of these newer boards im sure this card is a 1.5 volt card and it says in the manual that the agp slot only supports these volt cards is there a way of incereasing the voltage of my gfx card so i can get it to work in my new board like a bios update of something please help ppl constant problems here i need major advice so i thought id come to the experts thx
ps if this problem aint fixed from the info i get off this forum is it possible that i can return the gfx card to novatech and then get a replacement cause it must be a fault on the card for it not to work on the newer motherboards
